Dr. Arham Muslim (HoD MS ITL)

Assistant Professor

Dr. Arham Muslim is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Innovative Technologies in Learning at NUST-SEECS. He has a PhD in computer science from RWTH Aachen University, Germany focusing on learning analytics in distributed and open learning environments. Before joining SEECS, he worked as a senior researcher in the Social Computing Group of Computer Science and Applied Cognitive Science at the University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany. He also has over 8 years of professional software development experience in the international industry where he worked on a wide variety of projects including Learning Management System (LMS) for RWTH Aachen University, Germany. His main research areas encompass learning technologies and data science with the focus on human-centred learning analytics, information visualization, visual analytics, and big data.

Dr Sohail Iqbal

Associate Professor

Dr. Sohail Iqbal has completed his PhD in Surgical Robotics from University of Paris-Est, France. Having a mathematical background, his research interests are to apply the mathematical techniques to solve the real world problems. He works in continuum robotics, mathematical modeling, fuzzy controllers and artificial intelligence. Moreover, He is working in different robotics related projects. He has organised many robotics workshops and robotic competitions at NUST.

Dr Tahira Anwar Lashari

Assistant Professor

Dr. Tahira Anwar Lashari is an Assistant Professor in ITL Department. Prior to that; she worked as an Assistant Professor at The University of Lahore (2018-2019). She did her Post-doctoral fellowship from Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) in 2017. She received her Ph. D in the field of Technical and Vocational Education from Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM), Malaysia in 2015. She has published research articles in national and international peer reviewed journals and conferences. She draws on and integrates a wider range of social sciences disciplines in her work, Primarily educational psychology, education, internationalisation, and engineering education. Her academic interests are developing integrated affective-cognitive teaching and learning approach that benefit students in acquiring the essential core knowledge and skills, and also provides opportunities to excel cognitive and technological learning incorporated affective learning to meet the learning demand.

Mr Jaudat Mamoon

Assistant Professor

Mr. Jaudat Mamoon is an Assistant Professor at NUST SEECS, and the core member of the team that launched the program in January 2014. He possesses a diverse set of skills and interests with two master degrees in Technology Management & Entrepreneurship and Communications Engineering from EPFL Lausanne, Switzerland and TUM Munich, Germany respectively. He also has over 7 years of international professional experience including a nearly 4 year stint at Vodafone Group Services, Germany within their Consumer Marketing department. His interests include entrepreneurship, marketing, mobile application development, and wireless communication technologies.

Dr. Junaid Younas

Assistant Professor

Dr. Junaid Younas completed his Doctorate in Engineering from the Technical University of Kaiserslautern (RPTU Kaiserslautern), Germany. His Ph.D. research is focused on leveraging cutting-edge technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Virtual Augmented-Reality (VAR) to facilitate the learning process in formal education. Currently, his research interests are focused on Applied Machine Learning for Healthcare and Medical sciences. He is also exploring the opportunities to develop augmented-reality based applications to enhance learning experiences in formal education.

Ms. Saba Khateeb

Senior Graphic Designer

Ms.Saba Khateeb earned her Master degree in Fine Arts (M.F.A) from Fatima Jinnah Women University with specialization in Graphic Design. She has more than 4 years’ experience with various Software and Design houses. She is currently leading the team of Graphic Designers in the Chotay Sciencedan project.

Mr Umer Nasim Ramay

Senior Software Engineer

Umer Nasim Ramay did his MS ( Information Science and Technology ) from Quiad-i-Azam University, Islamabad and completed his BS Information Technology Degree from Govt. College University Faisalabad. He has a strong interest in the 3D and as well as 2D video game development field. He has a excellent market experience of video games development. Most of his work is related to the new interactive technologies that provide rich out-of-the-box functionality to develop games and other interactive 3D content like animations, physics, lighting, 3D effects etc.

Ms. Maham Haider

Assistant Manager Graphics

Ms.Maham Haider has a master's degree in fine arts with a concentration in graphic design. She has taught design-related courses at various universities before joining SEECS-NUST as a graphic designer. She has also worked on a number of high-profile branding and design campaigns at Synergy Dentsu Islamabad. Her expertise ranges from brand development to advertising and marketing collateral; online graphics; logo design etc.

Dr Safdar Abbas Khan (Long Leave)

Assistant Professor

Dr. Safdar Abbas Khan carried out his doctoral research at the LISSI laborotary of University of Paris, France and got it completed in December 2011. He did his masters in Mathematics with Gold Medal from Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad in 2004. His research interests include the applciation of mathematics to various fields like electronics and computer science.

Dr Adnan Rashid (Long Leave)

Assistant Professor

Dr. Adnan Rashid is an Assistant Professor in School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (SEECS), National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Pakistan since October 2020. Dr. Rashid did his PhD in the area of Formal Methods with the topic of his thesis was “Formalization of Transform Methods using Higher-order-logic Theorem Proving”. He worked as a Visiting Researcher in Chair for Logic and Verification, TUM, Germany and Hardware Verification Group, COncordia University, Canada
